Creative Mind Series Includes Lecture and Films focused on Bob Dylan

With a renewed interest in Bob Dylan this year’s Amarillo College  Creative Mind Lecture Series will be three days and include music, a lecture, and rare film footage April 9-11 at AC’s Washington Street campus. The event will kick off with live musical tributes to Bob Dylan and food trucks at noon Wednesday, April 9 at the Oeschger Family Mall. AC’s FM-90 will host the two-hour event. 

AC honors 2024 Distinguished Alumni Mary Bralley and Michael Merriman

Two uniquely accomplished individuals have been selected to receive 2024 Distinguished Alumni Awards from Amarillo College.Mary Bralley, executive director for Window on a Wider World (WOWW), and award-winning music video director/producer and documentarian Michael Merriman will be the guests of honor at AC’s Distinguished Alumni Luncheon at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at the Amarillo Area Foundation, 919 S. Polk St.

Panhandle Oilmen’s Foundation presents AC with a $10,000 gift

For the third year in succession, Amarillo College is the recipient of a generous gift from the Panhandle Oilmen’s Foundation, which in 2021 established a scholarship at AC to support industrial technology majors.

The three co-founders of the non-profit Panhandle Oilmen’s Foundation – Jeff Moore, Kim Britten and Rick Johnson – presented a gift of $10,000 to the AC Foundation on Feb. 3.

Amarillo College launches public phase of $45 million campaign

Amarillo College today launched the public phase of an ambitious $45 million fundraising campaign that supports three specific initiatives intended to transcend the College and transform the economic vitality of the region.

Badger Bold is the first comprehensive campaign in the school’s 93-year history, and the public phase follows a highly successful “quiet phase” that since 2020 has garnered $31.5 million in gifts and commitments – a full 70 percent of its goal.

There is still time to enter, support AC’s Scholarship Scramble golf tourney

Slots are still available for teams or individuals to register and participate in the Amarillo College Scholarship Scramble golf tournament on Friday, July 22 at Comanche Trail Golf Course.

The cost is $90 per person and $360 per team and includes lunch. Register here.

Lunch will be served at 11 a.m., and golfers hit the links at 12:30 p.m.
